Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Works of Art, which included the work Ichikawa Yaozo III in the role of Sukeroku from the play "Yukari no Edo-sakura" by Torii Kiyonaga. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,283.66), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kiyonaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 125,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ichikawa Yaozo III in the role of Sukeroku from the play "Yukari no Edo-sakura" von Torii Kiyonaga zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.283,66) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Torii Kiyonaga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 125.000,00.
