A top price for Torii Kiyonaga - as previously expected
In December 2018 Christies in Paris held the auction Art d'Asie, which included the work ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) by Torii Kiyonaga. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 120,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 125,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) is the most expensive artwork by Torii Kiyonaga that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art d'Asie durch, in der auch die Arbeit ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) von Torii Kiyonaga zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 120.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 125.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Torii Kiyonaga, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
