In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Beauties By A Floor Screen by Torii Kiyonaga. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,112.41), 48% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kiyonaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 125,000.00.
