Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch musicians by Toon Kelder was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2010. The price achieved of EUR 9,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Toon Kelder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Encounter, which sold at auction in May 2006 for EUR 26,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch musicians von Toon Kelder kam im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Toon Kelder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Encounter beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für EUR 26.400,00 versteigert wurde.
