Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Red, Yellow, Blue (Zebra) by Tomoya Tsukamoto was worth HKD 437,500.00 (€ 41,376.47) to a buyer in May 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Tomoya Tsukamoto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Memory of the Forest - Tiger in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 212,669.96).
Kunstwerk zum Sechsfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Red, Yellow, Blue (Zebra) von Tomoya Tsukamoto war einem Käufer im Mai 2014 HKD 437.500,00 (€ 41.376,47) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tomoya Tsukamoto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Memory of the Forest - Tiger im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 212.669,96).
