Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vanishing Point by Tom Friedman was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,471.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Friedman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 856,000.00 (€ 645,501.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vanishing Point von Tom Friedman wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.471,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Friedman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 856.000,00 (€ 645.501,85).
