Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Sottsass, Sottsass, Sottsass, Mendini, Sottsass, Sottsass) by Tobias Madison for GBP 500.00 (€ 557.71). This price was achieved in the auction First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tobias Madison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 8,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Sottsass, Sottsass, Sottsass, Mendini, Sottsass, Sottsass) von Tobias Madison für GBP 500,00 (€ 557,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tobias Madison erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.750,00.
