In February 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Ballroom by Tim Stoner. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,761.44), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tim Stoner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eternity in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ballroom von Tim Stoner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.761,44) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tim Stoner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eternity im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.694,97).
