Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tim Stoner could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Handpicked: 100 Works Selected by the Saatchi Gallery auction, the work Tower changed hands for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,808.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tim Stoner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eternity in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tim Stoner konnte im März 2017 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Handpicked: 100 Works Selected by the Saatchi Gallery wechselte die Arbeit Tower für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.808,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tim Stoner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eternity im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.694,97).
