Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tim Davis could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Saturday@Phillips auction, the work Searchlights (from Illiluminations) changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,745.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Tim Davis have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2014 by the work Burger King, 2000 at EUR 3,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tim Davis konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Saturday@Phillips wechselte die Arbeit Searchlights (from Illiluminations) für USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.745,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Tim Davis wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2014 die Arbeit Burger King, 2000 mit EUR 3.900,00.
