Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Catroon For Glas by Tim Davis for GBP 375.00 (€ 425.68). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Tim Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Burger King, 2000 in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 3,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Catroon For Glas von Tim Davis für GBP 375,00 (€ 425,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tim Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Burger King, 2000 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.900,00.
