Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Phillips in New York held the auction Saturday@Phillips, which included this untitled work by Tierney Gearon. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 802.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Tierney Gearon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,469.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Saturday@Phillips durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tierney Gearon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 802,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tierney Gearon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.182,50 (€ 6.469,38).
