Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Under The Influence, which included this untitled work by Tierney Gearon. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,790.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tierney Gearon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,469.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Under The Influence durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tierney Gearon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 1.790,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tierney Gearon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 4.182,50 (€ 6.469,38) versteigert wurde.
