Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Herod's Feast by Thomas Matthews Rooke. The price achieved of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 59,892.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Thomas Matthews Rooke have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2006 the work Clytie Turning Towards The Sun was auctioned for GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,676.11).

Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Herod's Feast von Thomas Matthews Rooke zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 59.892,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden.
