Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Joshua Cooper could be acquired at Phillips in London in June 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Two works: (i) Ceremonial Veil Nesscliffe, Shropshire England; (ii) Guardians Masking and Unmasking (message from Morris Graves) Stanton Moor, Derbyshire, England changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 790.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Joshua Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unexpected Nightfall- The Mid North Atlantic Ocean, Porto Moniz, The Island of Madeira (Near the North-most point of the Island), Portugal in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,270.27).
