It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,444.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Hazlehurst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A young boy, facing left in blue coat, white shirt with frilled collar, long curling fair hair, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,614.16).
