Auction result well in line with expectations

In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction At Home - Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Irish,, which included the work Unknown by Thomas Hazlehurst. The price achieved of GBP 293.75 (€ 429.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hazlehurst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young boy, facing left in blue coat, white shirt with frilled collar, long curling fair hair in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,614.16).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion At Home - Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Irish, durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Thomas Hazlehurst zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 293,75 (€ 429,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250,00 – 350,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Hazlehurst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A young boy, facing left in blue coat, white shirt with frilled collar, long curling fair hair im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.585,00 (€ 5.614,16).
