Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Important Miniatures from a Private Collection, which included the work Portrait Of An Officer by Thomas Hazlehurst. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,709.07). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Hazlehurst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A young boy, facing left in blue coat, white shirt with frilled collar, long curling fair hair, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,614.16).
