Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Nicholas Hurry (b. 1777), in blue coat with black collar and gold buttons, white waistcoat and cravat, powdered hair by Thomas Hazlehurst was sold in the IMPORTANT GOLD BOXES,OBJECTS OF VERTU & PORTRAIT MINIATURES auction at Christies in London in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,314.50 (€ 1,972.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Hazlehurst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A young boy, facing left in blue coat, white shirt with frilled collar, long curling fair hair, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,614.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nicholas Hurry (b. 1777), in blue coat with black collar and gold buttons, white waistcoat and cravat, powdered hair von Thomas Hazlehurst wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion IMPORTANT GOLD BOXES,OBJECTS OF VERTU & PORTRAIT MINIATURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.314,50 (€ 1.972,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Hazlehurst mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A young boy, facing left in blue coat, white shirt with frilled collar, long curling fair hair beobachtet, die im Mai 2002 für GBP 3.585,00 (€ 5.614,16) versteigert wurde.
