Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,459.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Hazlehurst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A young boy, facing left in blue coat, white shirt with frilled collar, long curling fair hair, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,614.16).
