Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Mary Harrop by Thomas Hazlehurst was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,390.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Hazlehurst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A young boy, facing left in blue coat, white shirt with frilled collar, long curling fair hair, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,614.16).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.390,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00.
