Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Softball by Thomas Eggerer for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,313.31). This price was achieved in the auction First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Thomas Eggerer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sweet Valley High in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 44,400.00 (€ 33,003.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Softball von Thomas Eggerer für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.313,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Eggerer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sweet Valley High im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.400,00 (€ 33.003,79).
