Despite a disappointment, a good price for Thomas Annan
When the work Old Closes And Streets of Glasgow, 1868-77 by Thomas Annan was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,401.04). Despite this disappointing result, Old Closes And Streets of Glasgow, 1868-77 is the most expensive artwork by Thomas Annan that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Old Closes And Streets of Glasgow, 1868-77 von Thomas Annan im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
