Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Annan could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work High Street, from College Open, from Old Closes and Streets of Glasgow changed hands for USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,714.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Annan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Old Closes And Streets of Glasgow, 1868-77 in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,401.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Annan konnte im Februar 2002 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit High Street, from College Open, from Old Closes and Streets of Glasgow für USD 2.350,00 (€ 2.714,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Annan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Old Closes And Streets of Glasgow, 1868-77 im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.401,04).
