In November 2008 Sothebys in Paris held the auction La Photographie IV: The Collection of Marie-Thérèse and André Jammes, which included the work The Old Closes And Streets Of Glasgow, 1900 by Thomas Annan. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,750.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Annan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Old Closes And Streets of Glasgow, 1868-77, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,401.04).

Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion La Photographie IV: The Collection of Marie-Thérèse and André Jammes durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Old Closes And Streets Of Glasgow, 1900 von Thomas Annan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.750,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Annan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Old Closes And Streets of Glasgow, 1868-77 beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.401,04) versteigert wurde.
