Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Theodore Robinson could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art Online auction, the work Two in a Boat changed hands for USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,991.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Theodore Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Normandy Garden, October in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,496,000.00 (€ 1,112,019.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Theodore Robinson konnte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Two in a Boat für USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.991,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Theodore Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Normandy Garden, October im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.496.000,00 (€ 1.112.019,62).
