Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work By The River by Theodore Robinson for USD 93,750.00 (€ 85,080.32). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Theodore Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Normandy Garden, October in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,496,000.00 (€ 1,112,019.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit By The River von Theodore Robinson für USD 93.750,00 (€ 85.080,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Theodore Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Normandy Garden, October im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.496.000,00 (€ 1.112.019,62).
