Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barbizon by Theodore Robinson was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 52,575.00 (€ 44,653.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Theodore Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Normandy Garden, October in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,496,000.00 (€ 1,112,019.62).

Die Arbeit Barbizon von Theodore Robinson wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 52.575,00 (€ 44.653,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Theodore Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Normandy Garden, October im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.496.000,00 (€ 1.112.019,62).
