In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Girl in a Red Dress by Theodore Robinson. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,831.58) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Theodore Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Normandy Garden, October in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,496,000.00 (€ 1,112,019.62).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl in a Red Dress von Theodore Robinson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.831,58) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Theodore Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Normandy Garden, October im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.496.000,00 (€ 1.112.019,62).
