Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2004 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Theo Bitter for EUR 3,585.00. This price was achieved in the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theo Bitter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family Portrait, My Parents, which sold at auction in June 2014 for EUR 10,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2004 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Theo Bitter für EUR 3.585,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Theo Bitter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family Portrait, My Parents beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für EUR 10.000,00 versteigert wurde.
