Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract composition by Theo Bitter was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2000. It changed hands for a price of NLG 2,925.50 (€ 1,348.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Theo Bitter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Family Portrait, My Parents in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 10,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abstract composition von Theo Bitter kam im September 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von NLG 2.925,50 (€ 1.348,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theo Bitter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Family Portrait, My Parents im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.000,00.
