In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Marianne Faithfull, 1966 by Terence Donovan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,265.67), 53% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Terence Donovan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jimi Hendrix, London, 1967, which sold at auction in March 2020 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,292.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marianne Faithfull, 1966 von Terence Donovan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.265,67) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Terence Donovan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jimi Hendrix, London, 1967 beobachtet, die im März 2020 für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.292,05) versteigert wurde.
