A top price for Tang Wai Hung - as previously expected
The work Red Plum Blossom by Tang Wai Hung was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,285.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Red Plum Blossom is the most expensive artwork by Tang Wai Hung that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Red Plum Blossom von Tang Wai Hung wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.285,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Red Plum Blossom das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tang Wai Hung, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
