Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lotus by Tang Wai Hung was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. The price achieved of HKD 12,600.00 (€ 1,450.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tang Wai Hung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Plum Blossom, which sold at auction in May 2021 for HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,285.39).
