This artwork by Tang Wai Hung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Calligraphy - Love And Passion Across Mountains And Waters sold for HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,531.53) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tang Wai Hung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Plum Blossom, which sold at auction in May 2021 for HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,285.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tang Wai Hung erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy - Love And Passion Across Mountains And Waters für HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.531,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tang Wai Hung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Plum Blossom beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.285,39) versteigert wurde.
