Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Christies held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center, which included the work Calligraphy - Only Love Lasts Forever by Tang Wai Hung. The price achieved of HKD 10,000.00 (€ 1,132.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tang Wai Hung have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Plum Blossom in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,285.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy - Only Love Lasts Forever von Tang Wai Hung zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 10.000,00 (€ 1.132,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tang Wai Hung auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Plum Blossom im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.285,39).
