Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Celestiao Chaos by Tai Xiangzhou. The price achieved of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 34,355.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 260,000.00 – 360,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tai Xiangzhou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountains and Streams in May 2017 with an auction result of 240 200,000.00 (€ 177,999.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Celestiao Chaos von Tai Xiangzhou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 34.355,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 260.000,00 – 360.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tai Xiangzhou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountains and Streams im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von 240 200.000,00 (€ 177.999,29).
