Auction result well in line with expectations
The work JOURNEY TO FAIRYLAND by Tai Xiangzhou was sold in the FIRST OPEN | Shanghai auction at Christies in Shanghai in September 2018. The price achieved of CNY 132,000.00 (€ 16,536.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tai Xiangzhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountains and Streams in May 2017 with an auction result of 240 200,000.00 (€ 177,999.29).

Die Arbeit JOURNEY TO FAIRYLAND von Tai Xiangzhou wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Shanghai bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 132.000,00 (€ 16.536,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tai Xiangzhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountains and Streams im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von 240 200.000,00 (€ 177.999,29).
