Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wood Stand by Tai Xiangzhou was sold in the Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in August 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 88,200.00 (€ 9,604.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tai Xiangzhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountains and Streams in May 2017 with an auction result of 240 200,000.00 (€ 177,999.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wood Stand von Tai Xiangzhou wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 88.200,00 (€ 9.604,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tai Xiangzhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountains and Streams im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von 240 200.000,00 (€ 177.999,29).
