A top price for Tai Xiangzhou - as previously expected
The work Mountains and Streams by Tai Xiangzhou was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The price achieved of 240 200,000.00 (€ 177,999.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as 240 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Mountains and Streams is the most expensive artwork by Tai Xiangzhou that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Mountains and Streams von Tai Xiangzhou wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von 240 200.000,00 (€ 177.999,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit 240 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Mountains and Streams das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tai Xiangzhou, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
