Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rough Impression by Susan Hiller was auctioned at Phillips in London in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,971.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Susan Hiller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Inside A Cave Home, Coober Pedy South Australian Desert, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 25,537.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rough Impression von Susan Hiller kam im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.971,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Susan Hiller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Inside A Cave Home, Coober Pedy South Australian Desert beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 25.537,11) versteigert wurde.
