Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sue Williams achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March last year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work The Wiggliness sold for USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,316.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sue Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New Yellow and Orange in September this year with an auction result of USD 127,000.00 (€ 119,992.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sue Williams erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit The Wiggliness für USD 4.788,00 (€ 4.316,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sue Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New Yellow and Orange im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 127.000,00 (€ 119.992,44).
