The work The Master of Go (after Yasumari Kawabata) by Su-Mei Tse was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2018. It achieved a price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,824.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Su-Mei Tse; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot L'Echo sold at auction in October 2018 with the realized price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,339.92).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.824,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Su-Mei Tse; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit L'Echo im Oktober 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.339,92).
