This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Su-Mei Tse; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot L'Echo sold at auction in October 2018 with the realized price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,339.92).
