Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2008 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Steve Canaday for USD 1,250.00 (€ 984.72). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Part II at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steve Canaday - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nature Calls, which sold at auction in September 2009 for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,051.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2008 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Steve Canaday für USD 1.250,00 (€ 984,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Steve Canaday mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nature Calls beobachtet, die im September 2009 für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.051,09) versteigert wurde.
