In September 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Michigan Central Station by Stan Douglas. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,676.20), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stan Douglas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twenty-Five photographs from the Detroit Series (Part I): Home Beside Jefferson Junior High; Abandoned Apartment Building; Fox Creek; Private Park at Grosse Pointe Farms; Meadow and Golightly Education Center; Gem Theater, The Horseshoe, Paradise Val in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 72,190.

Im September 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Michigan Central Station von Stan Douglas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.676,20) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stan Douglas erzielen.
