Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Proyección isométrica, Habana Vieja, 2004/ 09 by Stan Douglas for GBP 750.00 (€ 840.91). This price was achieved in the auction Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stan Douglas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twenty-Five photographs from the Detroit Series (Part I): Home Beside Jefferson Junior High; Abandoned Apartment Building; Fox Creek; Private Park at Grosse Pointe Farms; Meadow and Golightly Education Center; Gem Theater, The Horseshoe, Paradise Val in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 72,190.

Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Proyección isométrica, Habana Vieja, 2004/ 09 von Stan Douglas für GBP 750,00 (€ 840,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stan Douglas erzielen.
