Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs Including Property from the Museum of Modern Art, which included the work Every Building on 100 West Hastings, 2001 by Stan Douglas. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,731.46). Admittedly, works by Stan Douglas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twenty-Five photographs from the Detroit Series (Part I): Home Beside Jefferson Junior High; Abandoned Apartment Building; Fox Creek; Private Park at Grosse Pointe Farms; Meadow and Golightly Education Center; Gem Theater, The Horseshoe, Paradise Val in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 72,190.9
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs Including Property from the Museum of Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Every Building on 100 West Hastings, 2001 von Stan Douglas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.731,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stan Douglas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twenty-Five photographs from the Detroit Series (Part I): Home Beside Jefferson Junior High; Abandoned Apartment Building; Fox Creek; Private Park at Grosse Pointe Farms; Meadow and Golightly Education Center; Gem Theater, The Horseshoe, Paradise Val im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.700,00 (€ 72.190,90).
