The work Darkness by Spencer Finch was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2013. It achieved a price of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,129.35), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Spencer Finch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Boogie Woogie (Times Square, April 27, 2003, 10:07 Pm) in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,668.90).

Die Arbeit Darkness von Spencer Finch kam im Juli 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.129,35) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Spencer Finch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York Boogie Woogie (Times Square, April 27, 2003, 10:07 Pm) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 60.668,90).
