Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Figure With Clasped Hands by Sorel Etrog. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,718.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sorel Etrog achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family Group in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15).
